StuxNet has been described as "a working and fearsome prototype of a cyber-weapon that will lead to the creation of a new arms race in the world." StuxNet is in any case the first worm we know of that it is designed to alter the working of the PLCs in a specific target (nuclear?) plant. Now that the dust has settled a bit we can look at it in the perspective of not only what it is, but also what it represents in the escalation of malware threats. In this seminar, we are going to see how StuxNet works, what it can do, and what we can do to defend our systems. De stoptrein Amsterdam-Utrecht stopt ieder half uur op het op steenworp afstand gelegen station Breukelen.
